When it was recently announced that the much awaited Half-Life remake Black Mesa is to be released in 2009, There was one nagging question.. When in 2009?. Project Leader Carlos Montero in a recent interview with Screen Play mentioned the release will be somewhere in “late 2009″.
Black Mesa Mod started as a fan remake of the original Half-Life in 2005 after disappointment over Valve Software’s official remastered version, Half-Life: Source (which was just the same ol’ Half-Life running in Source Engine without much graphical improvements)

Former employees along with co-founder Tony Goodman of award winning developer of Age of Empires and soon to be released Halo Wars, Ensemble Studios have started Robot Entertainment.
Microsoft not-so-long-ago announced that they will be closing Ensemble Studios after the completion of Halo Wars (It was acquired by Microsoft in 2001).

The release timeframe for much awaited sequel for Korean Publisher NCsoft’s MMORPG Guild Wars has been pushed to somewhere between 2010-11 as mentioned in the publisher’s recent financial documents.
Guild Wars 2 was announced in 2007 and the public beta which was supposed to begin last year has probably been pushed even further.

The Hi-Def trailer for the recently announced sequel for the PlayStation 3, God of War III is available now! God of War III is the sequel for groundbreaking PlayStation exclusive God of War franchise.. The release dates have not yet been announced and according to Sony Entertainment, God of War III will be the last in the franchise.
The game is supposed to run at 1080p, Support DualShock 3 Controller and may feature a Co-op mode.

First!!1!.. OK. Just kidding..
Lambda Sector is being designed and developed as a (yet another) gaming blog/news aggregator which may also contain news about latest hardware and the like.
It was supposed to have started way back in 2006, But it’s lone developer (that’s me) has been either lazy/busy since then and he felt that it was high time he actually started something.
I’ll be designing the look and basic features slowly, So till then this default theme will stick.. However, I _will_ be regularly updating the content.
